Not a post per se, just a quick thanks to Callum “VoX” Sullivan for creating my new Summer Glau themed sig. Having to go through an hour of me giving suggestions and changes, only to end up with something similar to the beginning product deserves a mention in itself. The final product is below.
Still struggling to get a post sorted out, so I thought I’d post some YouTube highlights. Four videos for you today, mostly music, but two that are just lol. I’ll do the lol ones first and do the music ones after the jump, which will be stuff I think you guys should check out. The first will be Rebirthing live earlier year performed by Skillet, and the second will be Band of Skulls with Patterns. But first, a guide (at least I think it’s supposed to be) on how to score women at your home…..with the contents of your fridge….
Hey guys, been a bit busy last couple days so haven’t managed to get a post out. I’ll try and get a post out in the next day or so, but I’m still gonna be pretty busy, so it may not happen. Rest assured, my One Hour Playlist of Daughtry will be up on Sunday, but then the activity might wane again, as I fly to the US on Easter Monday (the 5th), but activity may pick up if I decide to use my blog as an e-diary for the trip
But I am still here and active, so keep checking it up on AP!
Earlier in the week, I posted a video which was a response to a lop-sided debate on the Alan Titmash show on video gaming. The guy who did it, LiamRProductions, also did an opinion piece on a Tonight Show documentary regarding gaming addiction, in a similar format. I watched the three video set through and, unsually for me on a random opinion video, I actually agreed with everything I had to say. I’ll post the first one up before the jump, and the final two after. Enjoy!
Just a quick post to say thanks to The Power Trip Morning Show for mentioning my post about their babe bracket on their show this morning…well, afternoon for me, but morning for them. Didn’t manage to get to the snubs (I want Summer Glau as the 65th, shoe-in nomination), but just having my name mentioned on the air was awesome enough, let alone getting laughs for my ‘cheesegrating testicles’ line. Mega props guys.
Audio is HERE (First five minutes). My actual post for today will be up in a couple hours.
OK, so it’s another post on a draft, but it’s a draft of a different kind. For the second year in succession, Minneapolis-St. Paul sports radio station KFAN is running a babe bracket for their followers, or rubes as they are affectionatly known, and the nominations are decided via a draft system in which KFAN personalities follow a serpentine draft order to select their ‘teams’, so it’s not only a competition between the nominations, but between the personalities. I’m guessing most of you reading this will not know who anyone involved is, so here is a quick rundown of the people involved, sorted in their draft order
1. Brandon Mileski – Host, Beyond the Pond and Producer, Common Man Progrum
2. Chris Hawkey – Producer, Power Trip Morning Show
3. Paul Allen – Host, The PA Show
4. Cory Cove – Co-host, Power Trip Morning Show
5. Mark Rosen – WCCO sports anchor and reporter, has man crush on Joe Mauer
6. Pat Brannan – KFAN Intern
7. Justin Gaard – Producer, Bumper to Bumper
8. Mike Morris – Host, Power Trip Morning Show
I’ll do some analysis on who got the best value for their picks, who reached and who the guys missed out on (mainly going away from my usual mantra of ‘personality first’ when judging people). But to begin with, after the jump, a link to the actual draft selections: Read the rest of this entry »
I mentioned something along these lines a couple weeks ago, but when I saw this, it really got on my wick. Every time there is a debate about this, it’s ridiculously imbalanced and makes every video gamer look like a psychopathic nutjob.
I did find a video someone has made which pretty much sums up my responses and thoughts on the ‘debate’. I’ve linked both the original program video and the response, as the response sometimes cuts over the main video. Before I link them though, I would quite like to say though that the woman said:
Regardless of age, sex or culture, the kids who had a regular diet of violent video games were found to be more agressive, less caring, have self-esteem issues and they suffered from depression
Um…I’ve been able to play video games of this nature for nearly 10 years of my life, since I was around 9 or 10. I am well in control of my, near non-existant, anger, I’m not a violent person, I like to see myself as a caring person and I don’t suffer from depression. It could be said I have some self-esteem issues, but if anything, video games help me boost it rather than detract from it.
Kudos to Tim Ingam for putting up with this asshats. And now, after the jump, the two videos. Read the rest of this entry »
The Twins‘ hometown kid is staying anchored to home.
All-Star catcher Joe Mauer and Minnesota completed an eight-year, $184 million deal, a contract which will inevitably be hailed within baseball as an example that teams like the Twins do have a chance to keep their homegrown talent.
The deal, which includes a full no-trade clause, ranks in scope with only Alex Rodriguez‘s 10-year, $275 million contract and Derek Jeter‘s 10-year, $189 million contract.
